This information page provides a bit of what the store
New-Life"secondhand"is.
Our store is actually incurred at the flea market the old looier (on the
Looiersgracht), when this "the flea market "had to be closed or cq
sold, there something had to happen for us,because we had so many clothing there was no repository for.
In
other words we had a shop too start !
And now I had to search in the center of Amsterdam "the Jordaan" for a shop,because we liked
to stay near the old looier,because we already have many regular customers we
couldn't leave them behind.
After informing here and there and some Telephone calls and ask in shops in the
naberhood then there comes someone to me with the story that there would be a
shop on the Elandsgracht and comes free.
I immediately went to go to the owner of the shop and after some discussions we
succeeded to rent the shop.
And now we have the shop.
We are now in a beautiful monumental building of the year 1600.
Then we started almost immediately with the move of the clothing,because I had
to empty the Looier.
And now the shop is there, and what we have become now ?
A very funny and cosy shop and with a reasonably large and sometimes also known
for particularly supply of used clothing for ladies and gentlemen of big brands.
Because we are trying every time to purchase very special clothing and the whole
of the expensive brands such as ; Calvin Klein, Versage, Gucci, Laura
Ashley,
Hugo Boss, Marlboro Man, Edgar Vos, Claudia Stræter, Yoek, Armani, Prada, Vero
Moda, Cartoon, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren/Polo Sport, Pauw Mode and so on,
and so on !
Not only clothing, but
also shoes and boots, handbags, purses and jewellery.
But what we are trying to sell it all for the best possible prices,because it
turns out that many people like to buy good clothing of a big brand for less
money what they otherwise never be able to buy and this is very nice .
When you hear or experienced how very happy the people are when they leave the
shop.! ( Makes me happy.)
I have a request to everyone who reads this and has clothing or you still have
to clean up your Cabinet and thinks with these clothes I can make some happy
people.
Please contact us by phone or send an e-mail with what you have and what you
want to have for it in other words how much and then we shall be happy to
retrieve it.
It is also possible of course, that you bring the clothes to the shop to but
there is one but and this is?
The clothing must be clean and not off date otherwise it will be denied.
And then we have a great project, because all the clothing that we no longer use
or
may use goes to a project of the homeless in our discharge is nothing to the
dustbin.
There is also a part that goes to Poland,but these are more shirts and jeans and
jackets.
